Learn design by making the things a business actually needs. Brand kits, campaigns, proposals, reports, app screens, video and print, built in Canva from the first lesson.
Outcomes
Curriculum
12 modules and 161 lessons, with around 42 hours of video. Every video is ready to watch, and 160 of the 161 lessons also have their written notes and practice questions. You keep lifetime access, so anything added later reaches you at no extra cost.
Portfolio
A certificate proves you finished. The work you build along the way is what gets you hired.
A palette, typefaces, an identity board and a set of locked templates a colleague can fill in without breaking anything.
A campaign built from one brief: feed posts, a carousel, story covers and a short vertical advertisement.
A proposal or annual report with a cover, contents, statistics layouts and quotation pages, laid out as a spread.

When not to buy this course
If you already design confidently and want the deeper theory rather than a tool, go to the Advanced Certificate in Graphic Design instead. And if you only need one poster made, a template and an afternoon will get you there without a course.
Good to know
Twelve modules and 161 lessons, around 42 hours of video. 160 of the 161 lessons carry written notes and key takeaways, 91 of them carry an interactive question, and there are twelve checkpoints of eight questions each plus a twenty-question capstone at 80% for the certificate. One lesson, on collaborative whiteboards, is video only: no transcript was delivered for it, so it has no written notes, and the same material is covered in the whiteboards lesson in module 3.
No. The course starts from zero and teaches the fundamentals as you build. If you can use a web browser, you can start.
You can do most of it on the free tier, and not all of it. Background removal, saved brand assets and one-click resizing are paid features, and the last few lessons use more paid elements than the rest. The course shows the free workaround where there is one, including a whole lesson on resizing a design without Pro, and the notes say plainly when a feature is behind the paid tier so you are not left wondering why a button is missing.
No. No files ship with this course, and a few lessons mention a resource pack that was not delivered with the material. Where that happens the notes say so and give a route that works without it, usually Canva's own library or something you can make in a couple of minutes.
Because it was the end of a shorter course before this one was assembled. Lesson 4.4 signs off as though everything is finished, and 115 more lessons follow it by a different presenter, which is most of what you paid for. Both lessons say so plainly, and there is a second join at 12.1 where the final effects lessons begin.
For social media, marketing assets, documents and presentations, yes. For complex logo work and print production, tools like Adobe Illustrator go further, and we are honest about where that line sits.
It gives you job-ready fundamentals and a starter portfolio, and plenty of freelance and in-house work runs on Canva. The portfolio you build is your proof.
It is self-paced. Most learners fit it around work in short sessions, and you keep lifetime access either way.
Every course has a 7-day money-back guarantee. Try it, and if it does not fit, we refund you.
