Advanced Certificate in Adobe Lightroom

Six modules, 45 lessons and about 14 hours of video. Lessons come with written notes and a key-takeaways panel, about half carry an interactive step, and there are checkpoints along the way and a final assessment of twenty questions at 80 per cent, which is what issues the certificate. The course finishes with four complete speed edits, so you see the whole workflow at working pace.

Not formally, but you need the skills in it. If you're comfortable importing, culling and finishing an edit in the Develop module, you're ready. If not, the Certificate in Adobe Lightroom covers all of it.

Yes: Lightroom Classic and Lightroom on your phone, from a paid Adobe subscription. They're separate apps, so check your plan includes both before you buy.

Lightroom for whole shoots edited quickly and consistently, which is what this course is about. Photoshop for cutouts, composites and deep work on single images. One lesson covers exactly where Lightroom stops and Photoshop starts, so you know when to hand over.

Yes, ideally RAW files of your own. Tethering in module 2 also needs a camera and a USB cable, or the cable-free phone route the course shows for location work.

Mostly. The core is Lightroom Classic, with a module on the mobile workflow, Lightroom on the web and moving work between devices. Some videos show the graduated and radial filters as separate tools, and the notes show where each sits in today's Masking panel, so you'll be at home in either layout.

Partly. You'll install other people's presets and build your own, but the point is understanding what each adjustment does, so you can read a preset, change it, or build the look yourself from scratch.

Yes. Pass the twenty-question final assessment at 80 per cent and you get the Advanced Certificate in Adobe Lightroom, an OBA certificate of completion that an employer or client can verify online. It isn't an Adobe certification. A whole shoot edited to one consistent look is the other half of the proof.
