If you are still finding your way around the Library and Develop modules, start with our Certificate in Adobe Lightroom. This course assumes you already edit, and picking it first will just be frustrating.

Not formally, but you do need the skills in it. If you are comfortable importing, culling and making a full edit in the Develop module, you are ready.

No. Presets are a starting point and the course treats them that way. The work is understanding what the adjustment is doing so you can build the look yourself.
That is largely what it is for. Consistency across a shoot and the speed to deliver it are what separate a hobby edit from a paid one.
Written and certificate-earning, with one honest gap. Forty-one of the 45 lessons have written notes and key takeaways under them, there are practice questions through the course, five checkpoints and a final assessment, and passing it issues your certificate. The exception is the last module, four long speed-edit demonstrations that arrived with no transcript, so they play as video with no notes and no checkpoint. Everything the assessment covers is taught in the first five modules.
