We only set essential cookies unless you say yes to more, and you can change your mind at any time from the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the pages on our website.
What the cookie banner asks
On your first visit a banner asks what you're happy with. Accept all and Reject all sit side by side and are just as easy as each other, and Manage choices lets you pick. Nothing optional is set until you choose.
We remember your choice for six months, then ask again.
The three kinds of cookie
Say no to the optional ones and none of the analytics or advertising tags loads at all.
Essential, always on: logging in, checkout, remembering the course you are enrolling on, and remembering your cookie choice. The site cannot work without these.
Analytics: Google Analytics, so we can see which pages and courses people find useful. We never send it your name or email address.
Marketing: advertising tags from Google, Meta and LinkedIn, which show us whether our adverts work and may be used to show you OBA adverts on other sites. Our live chat loads with these.
Changing your choice
You can also use the Change your cookie settings button on our cookie policy.
Scroll to the bottom of any page on our website and select Cookie settings.
Tick or untick Analytics and Marketing.
Press Save my choices. Accept all and Reject all are there too.
If you take consent back, we clear the analytics and advertising cookies those tags left on our domain, and the page may reload to stop them running.
Inside your account
Your account and the lesson player load no analytics or advertising tags at all, so you won't see the banner there. Lesson videos play from Vimeo with its do-not-track setting switched on.
The player keeps one small note in your browser: whether you closed the contents or the OBA Tutor panel, so it stays that way next time.
Your data more widely
Our privacy policy explains what we hold about you, why, and your rights. You can download a copy of your data or delete your account from your settings, and Downloading your data or deleting your account walks you through it. Questions about cookies or privacy go to hello@oba.uk.
