This course takes you from installing Python to streaming live data onto a dashboard. Ten modules and about 38 hours of video: the first six build the language one piece at a time, from input and loops to functions, strings and files, and the last four put it to work in whole programs, classes, generators and databases.
By the end you can take a problem, break it into steps and write the program that solves it: reading input, making decisions, keeping records in files or SQLite, and structuring bigger code with functions and classes. It suits complete beginners, office staff who suspect a script could do their weekly chores, and anyone heading for data or software work who needs a first language.

Ten modules, 117 lessons and about 38 hours of video, with written notes and key takeaways under the videos and a practice question on 66 lessons. There are ten checkpoints of eight questions and a twenty-question final assessment at 80 per cent, which is what issues the certificate.
No. The course starts with installing Python and assumes nothing before that. Modules 1 to 7 build the language step by step in Jupyter, and from module 8 the pace steps up in PyCharm, with seven modules of practice behind you. The OBA Tutor is in every lesson when a line won't run.
No. Python is free, and so is everything else the course uses. Module 1 installs Python and Jupyter, which carry you through the first seven modules. From module 8 the presenter uses PyCharm, whose free version does everything shown, and any editor works, including VS Code.
Python if you want one language for data, automation and general programming. It reads close to plain English, and the habits you build carry into any language you learn next. JavaScript if your goal is making web pages interactive, and it needs HTML and CSS first.
No. Every exercise is code you type yourself, which is how it sticks, and wherever a lesson uses a file, the notes point you to a free alternative.
Yes. The installation and database setup are shown on Windows, so on a Mac you install Python from python.org or with Homebrew and adjust a few setup steps. Everything else is the language itself, which works the same on any machine.
Yes. Pass the twenty-question final assessment at 80 per cent and you get an OBA certificate of completion that an employer can verify online. It isn't an accredited qualification or an exam from a certification body. The programs you build along the way are the other half of the proof.
