No. Python is free, and so is everything else the course uses. The first module installs Python and Jupyter, which is where the first seven modules are taught. From module eight the presenter uses PyCharm, and the free Community edition does everything shown; any editor works, including VS Code.
The installation lesson is filmed on Windows, and the later database setup is Windows-specific in places. Everything else is the language itself and is identical on any machine. If you are on a Mac, install Python from python.org or with Homebrew and the rest follows exactly.
No. The videos work with the presenter’s own files, and nothing is sent to you. The written notes name a free alternative wherever a file is mentioned, and the exercises are all things you can type out yourself, which is better practice anyway.
