Technology & AI courses
Beginner friendlyThis Looker Studio course swaps monthly screenshots and spreadsheets for one live link, with numbers you can explain when anyone asks. Following a fictional UK coffee roaster, you'll clean exports so dates and pounds read correctly, write calculated fields for margin and financial years, report GA4, Search Console and Google Ads data, blend ad spend with revenue without double counting, and share it all safely.
Course overview
This course takes a coffee roaster from a raw orders spreadsheet to a live, branded report its owner opens every Monday. You'll get the data right first, match each question to the right chart, write the formulas managers ask for and add controls readers can drive, then bring in Google's marketing data, blend sources and design pages that read in seconds, before a capstone on a brief of your choice.
By the end you can build a live report on Google data, explain why its totals differ from GA4's own screens, and turn one finished report into a template for every client. It suits marketers, agency teams and small business owners who report every month, and anyone building a first analyst portfolio without paying for a software licence.

Career outcomes
Monthly reporting runs through marketing and analyst work, and turning it into one live link is a skill you can show rather than describe. The certificate backs you up, and a live report an employer can open in a browser does the rest.

If you only need a chart or two for yourself, Google Sheets can do that on its own. If your workplace runs on Microsoft or your reports need serious data modelling, our Power BI course fits better. And if working with data is new to you, start with Excel for Data Analysis.
A course advisor will talk it through with you free, and will say so if a different course fits your goal better.
Good to know
It follows a fictional UK coffee roaster from a raw orders spreadsheet to a live report its owner opens every Monday. You start with a quick one-page report you could send a manager, then get the data source right, match each question to the right chart, write calculated fields and add filters and controls. Later modules bring in GA4, Search Console and Google Ads data, blend sources to show whether ad spend pays off, design pages for readability, then share reports safely and turn one into a template for every client. A capstone on a brief of your choice closes it.
Yes. In April 2026 Google renamed Looker Studio back to Data Studio, the name it had until 2022. It's the same free tool, and existing reports carried on working. You'll still see both names around, so the course uses both.
No. Analytics is one source among several, and the course practises on Google's free GA4 demo account, so you don't need a website or an Analytics account of your own. Setting up GA4 tracking itself is what our Google Analytics & Tag Manager course covers.
No. It's free from Google and runs in your browser, and everything you're assessed on uses the free version. Data Studio Pro is a paid upgrade for teams, and the course never needs it.
Looker Studio for light, shareable, web-based reporting on Google-centred data. Power BI when you need serious modelling or your workplace runs on Microsoft. Pick the one your data lives closest to.
No website or ad account of your own is needed. The lessons are built around a fictional coffee roaster, and Google's free GA4 demo account gives you live analytics data. If you have read access to a website or ad account, your own or an employer's with permission, you can connect it alongside.
You can, but check with your IT team first, because a work account may limit sharing outside the organisation. A personal Gmail account covers everything you're assessed on, and since it all runs in a browser, a Mac or a Chromebook is fine.
Yes. Pass the final assessment and you get an OBA certificate of completion that an employer can verify online. It isn't a Google certification. The live report you build is proof an employer can open in a browser.
