Technology & AI courses
Beginner friendlyThis HTML and CSS course takes you from a blank file to finished, multi-page websites that look right on a phone and on a big screen. You'll structure pages with HTML, style them with CSS and lay them out with flexbox and grid, then build fast with Bootstrap and run a whole site's colours from one SASS file, until you can make a page behave instead of fighting it.
Course overview
This course takes you from your first tag to a four-page site styled with SASS. Seven modules and about 23 hours of video: the first two build a small site from scratch with HTML and core CSS, and the last five are layout in earnest, with positioning, flexbox, CSS Grid, Bootstrap and SASS, each built into a real site of its own.
By the end you can write semantic HTML, style a page so it looks deliberate, lay it out with flexbox or grid so it works on any screen, and find out why a rule is being ignored when one is. It suits beginners who'd rather write pages than fight a template, marketers tired of waiting on a developer, and anyone heading for JavaScript.

Career outcomes
Web roles are hired on pages more than on promises, so the point of this course is the sites you finish, the kind you can open and talk through in an interview. The certificate backs them up, and JavaScript is the natural next step.

If you want forms that respond and content that updates, that's JavaScript, and our JavaScript course picks up where this one stops. If you want to design how a site looks before anyone builds it, Figma for UX/UI Design is the better fit. And if you just need a simple site live this week, a website builder will get you there faster than learning to code.
A course advisor will talk it through with you free, and will say so if a different course fits your goal better.
Good to know
Seven modules, 84 lessons and about 23 hours of video, with written notes and key takeaways under every lesson and an interactive step on 47 of them. There are seven checkpoints of eight questions and a twenty-question final assessment at 80 per cent, which is what issues the certificate. You build and preview every page on your own computer, and JavaScript is the natural next step.
No. HTML and CSS are written in a free editor and viewed in the browser you already have, and module 1 sets you up with free VS Code and a live preview. The one lesson demonstrated in Photoshop works in free GIMP too.
HTML & CSS if you want to build pages: structure them, style them and lay them out so they work on any screen. Figma for UX/UI Design if you want to design how a site looks and works before anyone builds it. This course is the hands-on building side of web design, and the two sit well together.
Just photos, your own or free stock. The notes show you how to set up each project folder, and building every page from an empty folder is how it sticks.
Yes. You need no experience: if you can save a file and open a browser, you can start. The pace picks up from module 3, by which point you've built a whole small site.
Version 4.6, with notes on the class names that changed in version 5. Containers, rows, columns and components work much the same way in both, so what you learn carries straight over.
Yes. Pass the twenty-question final assessment at 80 per cent and you get an OBA certificate of completion that an employer can verify online. It isn't an accredited qualification or a certification exam. The sites you build along the way are the other half of the proof.
