Technology & AI courses
Popular choiceBeginner friendlyThis AI training for business gets an AI assistant doing real work on the jobs that fill your week, and teaches you to check everything it hands back. You'll draft emails and reports that still sound like you, turn a long tender and a meeting recording into a brief and minutes, research with sources you can trace and question a spreadsheet, proving each answer before anyone relies on it.
Course overview
This course puts you to work for a fictional UK office fit-out company, using ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or your work Copilot. It starts with quick wins, then shows you where assistants fail and what's safe to put in them, before moving through briefing, writing, summarising, research, spreadsheets and planning, into Copilot and Gemini at work, and ends with a documented workflow of your own.
By the end you can hand an assistant the first pass at most of your written and analytical work, and catch its mistakes before anyone else sees them. It suits office staff, coordinators, analysts and managers, and anyone whose employer has just switched on Copilot or Gemini.

Career outcomes
Listing AI as a skill on a CV says very little. A documented workflow you can talk through, and a certificate to back it up, show you can use an assistant on real work and check what it hands back.

If you only want sharper prompts, Prompt Engineering is the shorter route. If you lead a team and mainly need to decide how it uses AI, start with AI for Business Leaders. And if you already use AI every day and check it well, go straight to AI Automation.
A course advisor will talk it through with you free, and will say so if a different course fits your goal better.
Good to know
It starts with setting up an assistant safely and banking some quick wins, then shows you how assistants work, where they fail and what work information can safely go into one. From there you brief an assistant well and put it to work on writing, summarising documents and meetings, research, spreadsheets and project planning, then use Copilot and Gemini inside Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. It ends with a recurring task of your own, redesigned with AI and written up.
Whichever you have: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Microsoft Copilot. The skills work in all of them, and the course shows you where their settings and screens differ. You can follow it with any one of them.
No. A free plan of any major assistant covers the practice tasks, alongside the free web versions of Word and Excel or Google Docs and Sheets. Some newer features sit on paid plans, and which plan includes what changes often, so the course shows you where to check rather than quoting it.
AI at Work if you want AI across your whole working day, in whichever assistant you use, with the checking and data safety habits that go with it. Prompt Engineering if you mainly want sharper prompts in ChatGPT, plus image generation, custom GPTs and a first API call.
No. The course is built around a fictional UK office fit-out company, so you can practise without going near real work information. Before you use your own, you'll learn what can safely go in, what never should under UK GDPR, and how to check your employer's policy.
Yes. If you can write an email, open a spreadsheet and use a browser, you have the background you need, and pivot tables are taught from scratch when the course reaches them.
Once you've checked it. Every assistant makes confident mistakes, from invented facts to fumbled numbers and dates, and a big part of this course is the five-point check that catches them before they reach a colleague or client.
Yes. Pass the final assessment and you get an OBA certificate of completion that an employer can verify online. It isn't a Microsoft, Google or OpenAI certification, or an accredited qualification. The documented workflow you finish with is the other half of the proof.
