Technology & AI courses
Bundle · Best value2 coursesThis SQL training takes you from asking what a table is to writing the queries other people borrow. You'll design and load your own databases, then filter, group and join them to answer real requests. After that you'll rank rows with window functions, turn trusted queries into stored procedures, log changes with triggers and wrap every risky update in a transaction you can roll back.
Bundle overview
Two courses, taught in Microsoft SQL Server, in the order you'd learn the job. The Certificate in SQL starts from a blank database: keys, constraints, loading data and the queries that filter, group and join it, with most of the course spent writing SQL yourself. The Advanced Certificate in SQL picks up exactly where it stops, with outer joins, subqueries, views, indexes, window functions, procedures, triggers and transactions.
By the end you can design a database that refuses bad data, answer a plain-English request with a query you can explain, and change live data without holding your breath. It suits analysts, report writers and career changers who know SQL will be a real part of their work. You don't need any coding experience to start.

What's inside
Work through them in order. Each course stands on its own, with its own certificate, and the sequence is built to stack.
Certificate in SQL£99
The foundations. Design tables with keys, load them and correct them safely, then filter, group and join your way through five sets of practice exercises.
Advanced Certificate in SQL£129
The harder half. Outer joins, subqueries, window functions, stored procedures, triggers, views, indexes and transactions you can roll back, finishing with problems set in plain words.
Key benefits
Everything you need to learn the skill, prove it and put it to work.
All 2 for £149 instead of £228

Career outcomes
Most of the figures a business reports on sit in a database, and SQL is how you reach them. You'll finish with two certificates employers can check online and a database you designed to show them.

If you're testing the water, start with the Certificate in SQL on its own and add the advanced course once joins feel routine. If you already write joins and GROUP BY at work, the Advanced Certificate in SQL may be all you need. And if dashboards are the goal rather than databases, the Data Analyst Bundle fits better.
A course advisor will talk it through with you free, and will say so if a different course fits your goal better.
Good to know
Two courses: the Certificate in SQL, 7 modules and 79 lessons with about 27 hours of video, and the Advanced Certificate in SQL, 10 modules and 87 lessons with about 29 hours. Every lesson in both has written notes, every module ends in a checkpoint, and most of the practice is you writing a query before you see it solved. The advanced course focuses on Microsoft's T-SQL: outer joins, subqueries, views, indexes, window functions, stored procedures, triggers and transactions.
The Certificate in SQL first. The advanced course assumes joins and GROUP BY from its first lesson and picks up exactly where the first course stops. If you already write SQL at work, you can move through the first course quickly.
Yes, two: one for each course, issued when you pass its final assessment at 80 per cent and verifiable online by any employer. There's no separate bundle certificate. They're OBA certificates of completion, not Microsoft certifications, and neither course is exam preparation for one.
No. Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio are both free, and the first course walks you through installing them. Management Studio runs on Windows only, so on a Mac you'll want Windows in a virtual machine, particularly for the advanced course, which uses Microsoft's own T-SQL throughout.
The bundle if you're starting from scratch or your SQL is self-taught and patchy. The advanced course on its own if joins, GROUP BY and HAVING already feel routine, because it assumes them from the first lesson.
No, enrol on the other course on its own. The bundle price includes both courses, the one you already have among them, and nothing comes off for it, so with one owned the other costs less by itself.
Not if you take the courses in order. The first assumes no coding at all and builds step by step, so by the time you reach the advanced course, joins and GROUP BY are routine. The OBA Tutor is in every lesson to hint before it explains.
Yes. One price covers both courses, and it's less than their two prices added together; the page shows exactly what you save. You pay once and keep both courses for life.
Download the free info pack first. It walks you through every course, what you'll build and what you need before you start, so you can enrol knowing exactly what you're getting. If you'd like to talk it through, get in touch and we'll help you choose.
