Digital marketing courses
Beginner friendlyThis social media marketing course teaches you to run a brand's accounts with a plan instead of a hunch. You'll choose two platforms on purpose, fill a month's calendar you can keep, write hooks people stop for, design carousels in Canva and film short videos on your phone, then look after the comments and run a campaign with the results to show for it, all without an ad budget.
Course overview
This course takes you from posting on a whim to running social media like a job. It starts with how a post reaches people who don't follow you yet and what each platform rewards, then moves through strategy, content pillars and a calendar, writing, graphics and short-form video, community care and the UK rules, and finishes with measuring results and a month-long campaign you plan, run and report on.
By the end you can write a strategy that says why anyone should follow, keep a calendar going without running dry, make posts in the formats each platform rewards and show a manager exactly what a month achieved. Whether you look after your own business's accounts, your employer's or a client's, you finish with a system you'll actually keep up.

Career outcomes
Plenty of people can post. Businesses hire the person who can plan a month, keep it going and show what it achieved, and this course leaves you with the strategy, the content and a campaign case study to prove that's you.

If you want to pay for reach rather than earn it, take Meta Ads instead: this course is about organic social, and that one builds Facebook and Instagram campaigns properly. If you're new to marketing and need every channel, start with Digital Marketing and come back here to go deeper. And if it's the video editing itself you want to get better at, CapCut goes much further on that.
A course advisor will talk it through with you free, and will say so if a different course fits your goal better.
Good to know
Organic social, from your first posts to a month-long campaign. You start with how reach works and what each platform rewards, then build a strategy, content pillars and a calendar. From there it's writing, graphics, short-form video, community care and the rules on creators and giveaways, then measuring what worked and running a campaign of your own, written up as a case study.
No. Carousels, text posts, product shots, voiceovers and screen recordings all work without a face, and every video task can be done that way. The course shows you the options and helps you choose what suits the brand.
Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube, plus when Pinterest, Threads, Reddit, X or Snapchat is worth your time. More usefully, it teaches you to choose two and do them well, rather than spreading yourself thin across all of them.
No. The platforms are free, and the course is built on Canva's free plan, CapCut and Google Sheets. Schedulers such as Buffer or Later are optional, because each platform's own scheduling tools do the job.
This course if you want to grow an audience with content people choose to follow, with no ad budget. Meta Ads if you want to pay for reach on Facebook and Instagram and make every pound count. The two work well together, because content that earns attention for free tends to make better ads.
No. Use your own, your employer's with permission or a niche account you start for the course, or pick one of the practice brands: a Leeds bakery, a Manchester recruitment agency or a Cardiff theatre charity. Whichever you choose carries you all the way to your campaign case study.
Yes. It starts with setting up a professional account and publishing your first posts, so no marketing background is needed. If you've taken our Digital Marketing course, the early lessons will feel familiar and you can move through them quickly.
Yes. Pass the final assessment and you get an OBA certificate of completion that an employer can verify online. It isn't a Meta or HubSpot certification. The strategy, the content and your campaign case study are the other half of the proof.
