Digital marketing courses
Beginner friendlyThis Facebook ads course teaches you to run Meta Ads that earn their keep, on Facebook and Instagram alike. You'll set up the pixel and Conversions API properly, work out what a sale can afford to cost, turn customer reviews into ads and build sales, lead and message campaigns, until you can read the results critically and explain where every pound went.
Course overview
This course takes you from boosting posts and hoping to building campaigns on numbers you trust. You work for two fictional businesses, from account setup and tracking through audiences, creative, policy checks and budgets to lead, message and catalogue campaigns, then learn to diagnose, test and scale, and finish with a capstone campaign of your own, written up as a case study.
By the end you can set up tracking you trust, build a campaign Meta's automation can learn from, make ads from what customers actually say and tell a winning ad from a lucky week. Whether you run your own shop's ads, take paid social over from an agency or manage it for clients, you finish able to defend every decision.

Career outcomes
Businesses trust their ad budget to people who can explain where every pound went, so paid social interviews test your reasoning as much as your clicks. You'll walk in with a campaign case study, a decision log and a client report that show yours.

If you're new to marketing altogether, start with Digital Marketing: paid ads work far better when the strategy behind them is sound. If you want to grow a following without paying for reach, Social Media Marketing fits better. And if your customers are already searching for what you sell, Google Ads puts you in front of them first.
A course advisor will talk it through with you free, and will say so if a different course fits your goal better.
Good to know
Everything from a new ad account to a campaign you'd defend to a client. You start with setup, objectives and how the auction works, then tracking with the pixel and Conversions API, audiences, creative strategy and making the ads, and the policies and UK rules they have to pass. After that come budgets and bidding, lead, message and catalogue campaigns, reading results, testing and scaling, and a capstone campaign written up as a case study.
Yes. Both run through the same Ads Manager, and the course covers placements across Facebook and Instagram throughout, including previewing every ad the way people will see it.
No. Ads Manager, Business Suite and Events Manager are free, and you only pay when ads run. Every campaign in the course can be built and left in draft, and running one live with a small budget of your own is optional.
Meta Ads if your customers browse rather than search: it puts you in front of people who didn't know they wanted you yet. Google Ads if they're already searching for what you sell. Plenty of businesses need both, and the craft of working out what a sale can afford to cost carries straight across.
No. The lessons follow two fictional businesses, an Edinburgh homecare brand and a Southampton kitchen fitter, and you can practise on a Facebook Page you create at the start. If you have a business, or an employer's account with permission, use it: real customers make better ads. A live shop is optional too, and a Shopify free trial lets you install the pixel for real if you'd like to.
It will, and often. The course teaches the principles first and the current screens second, so a moved menu never undoes what you've learned: why an objective, an audience or a bid strategy works carries straight over.
Yes. The Digital Marketing Bundle includes this course alongside Digital Marketing and SEO, for less than enrolling on the three separately. If you want the wider skill set as well as the paid social depth, it's the better-value route.
Yes. Pass the final assessment and you get an OBA certificate of completion that an employer can verify online. It isn't a Meta certification or preparation for Meta's own exams. The ads, the budget and the campaign case study you build are the other half of the proof.
