Accounting & bookkeeping courses
Bundle · Best value3 coursesThis Xero training covers the whole job, from the daily bank feed to payday. You'll keep a small business's books and prepare its VAT return under Making Tax Digital, take over a messy inherited file and close its month with a reconciliation behind every balance, then run a payroll through to the end of the tax year, until a business could trust you with all of its Xero.
Bundle overview
The bundle starts where most Xero work starts. The Certificate in Xero covers the everyday books: invoices, bills, bank reconciliation, VAT and the month-end reports. The Advanced Certificate takes on the harder files: inherited mistakes, CIS, platform payouts, foreign currency, period-end adjustments and a documented close. Xero Payroll then runs a UK payroll from the first employee to the year end.
By the end you can be the person a business trusts with all of its Xero, from the bank feed to the payslips, with the working papers to show for it. It suits new and working bookkeepers, accounts assistants stepping up, and office managers who've been handed the Xero login and the payroll with it.

What's inside
Work through them in order. Each course stands on its own, with its own certificate, and the sequence is built to stack.
Certificate in Xero£99
The everyday books. Keep a design studio's books for a month: invoices, bills, a bank reconciliation that proves itself, a VAT return under Making Tax Digital and a month-end pack.
Advanced Certificate in Xero£129
The files others hand over. Take over a joinery workshop's messy file and fix what the last bookkeeper got wrong, then handle CIS, platform payouts, currencies and a documented close.
Certificate in Xero Payroll£79
Payday, done right. Run a restaurant's payroll to the end of the tax year, from starters, tips and family leave to pensions and HMRC filings, then take over a payroll mid-year.
Key benefits
Everything you need to learn the skill, prove it and put it to work.
All 3 for £179 instead of £307

Career outcomes
Plenty of people can post an invoice in Xero. Fewer can also fix a messy file and run the payroll, and three certificates clients and employers can check online, plus the working papers you built, show you can do the lot.

If you're testing the water with Xero, start with the Certificate in Xero on its own and come back for the rest. If you already run Xero every day, the Advanced Certificate in Xero may be all you need, and if payroll is the only gap, take Xero Payroll. And if you're new to bookkeeping altogether, take Bookkeeping & Payroll first, so the software has something to stand on.
A course advisor will talk it through with you free, and will say so if a different course fits your goal better.
Good to know
Three Xero courses: the Certificate in Xero for the everyday books, VAT and month-end reports; the Advanced Certificate in Xero for inherited files, CIS, platform payouts, foreign currency and the month-end close; and the Certificate in Xero Payroll for running a UK payroll to the year end. Everything is taught on UK settings, with HMRC, Making Tax Digital and auto-enrolment throughout.
The Certificate in Xero first, because the harder files and payroll both build on it. Then the Advanced Certificate and Xero Payroll in either order. Each course stands on its own, so if payroll is the urgent skill for your role and you already know your way round Xero, start there.
Yes, three: one for each course you complete, each verifiable online by a client or employer, and there's no separate bundle certificate. They're OBA certificates of completion, not Xero's own advisor certification or a professional qualification such as AAT or a CIPP payroll qualification. Xero's advisor certification is worth adding alongside.
Not to start. Xero is a paid subscription, but it offers a free trial, and you can practise in a trial organisation. Trials are time-limited, so start one when you're ready to work steadily through a course. If you already use Xero at work, practise in a trial file rather than the real books.
The Certificate in Xero on its own if you need to run a small business's everyday books and VAT. The bundle if you want to be the Xero person for everything, including messy inherited files, CIS, currencies and payroll.
Compare before you enrol. The bundle price includes all three courses, the one you already have among them, and nothing comes off for it. Price up the two you're missing on their own pages: with one course owned the bundle can still come out cheaper, but not always.
A little. If invoices, bills and bank reconciliations are familiar, you're ready, and you don't need any Xero or payroll experience. If those words are new, take Bookkeeping & Payroll first: Xero is far easier once you know what a reconciliation is for.
Yes. One price covers all three courses, and it's less than their prices added together; the page shows exactly what you save. You pay once and keep every course for life.
Download the free info pack first. It walks you through every course, what you'll build and what you need before you start, so you can enrol knowing exactly what you're getting. If you'd like to talk it through, get in touch and we'll help you choose.
